On 27 April 2026, the two members of the Innsbruck-based Lemnius team for the first time visited their project partners, Florian Hitz and Georg Heinzle, at the Staatsarchiv Graubünden in Chur. The meeting provided an opportunity to review the project’s progress and to view manuscripts of the Raeteid as well as relevant secondary literature in person.

The group also discussed upcoming activities, including initial plans for the project conference scheduled for winter 2028/29 and the launch of the planned edition, translation, and commentary of the Raeteid. They further exchanged ideas on how to share the project’s results with a broader audience.

Beyond the archival work, the visit included a tour of key sites in Chur connected to the Raeteid and its historical context. Among them were the park dedicated to Benedikt Fontana, the national hero of the Grisons and a central figure in the Raeteid, the cathedral, and the Marsöl tower, which is described in detail by Lemnius.
