On September 22, we had the pleasure of hosting Dr. Saskia Limbach at our department.

Her visit began with a dynamic round-table with department and project members, offering a fantastic opportunity to share our ongoing research and exchange project ideas.

Later, Dr. Limbach presented key insights from her ERC-funded project, WidowsPrint.

Her talk, with the title “Women Printers, Their Knowledge and the Intricacies of the Book Business in Early Modern Europe”, shed light on the vital role played by early modern women printers across the Holy Roman Empire, fundamentally reshaping our understanding of the early modern print industry and demonstrating how women were often key drivers in design, production, and trade.

It was an inspiring day of mutual exchange and academic synergy that laid a strong foundation for future collaborations.
