One of the aims of the “4K Schwaz” cultural association is to highlight the significance of the Franciscan monastery for the intellectual and cultural life of Schwaz and to remind the local population of this. The monastery’s Latin chronicle, which provides a continuous account from the monastery’s foundation in 1507 to the present day, is now to be published in an annotated selected edition. On 7 July 2026, the project team met at the SRA, that also takes a keen interest in local Latin literature.
