Domenico Graziano (SP1 – Coordination Project) recently completed a period of training and scientific collaboration in Florence at SISMEL (International Society for the Study of Medieval Latin) and the Biblioteca Medicea Laurenziana (8–11 June), as part of the 11th International Training Course on Manuscript Studies.

During his stay, under the supervision of Prof. Gabriella Pomaro (SISMEL), he compiled the catalogue record for the manuscript Florence, Biblioteca Medicea Laurenziana, Plut. 33.11. This work directly contributed to the database of the MADOC project (Manuscripta doctrinalia – 13th–15th cent.), which is integrated into the knowledge management system MIRABILE (Digital Archives for Medieval Culture), promoted by SISMEL and the Fondazione Ezio Franceschini.

The exchange with experts at SISMEL – a pioneering institution in the application of digital tools to the study of Latin culture – helped consolidate methodological dialogue in the field of digital cataloguing. This experience lays a concrete foundation for future collaborations and interoperability between the digital platform of the SFB Neo-Latin in the Modern World and major infrastructures in the field.
