At the end of June, three of our members had the opportunity to present results of their ongoing research at the latest “Antike Kulturen des Mittelmeerraumes (AKMe)” conference in Salzburg.

As a biannual event with changing hosts between the universities of Graz, Innsbruck and Salzburg, it offers PhD candidates an interdisciplinary platform to address methodological challenges and to benefit from the experience of neighbouring fields of research, such as Ancient History or Archaeology. The papers were well received and sparked engaging discussions which more than made up for the unbearable heat of that day.
