From 21 to 25 September, Lev Shadrin took part in the Machine Learning for Digital Scholarly Editions summer school organized by the Department of Digital Humanities at Uni Graz and sponsored by CLARIAH-AT and DARIAH-EU.

The summer school comprised five days of live coding sessions on BERTopic, a modular Python framework for topic modelling. The sessions covered every section of the pipeline, from statistical measures and machine learning basics to dimensionality reduction and clustering algorithms.

Participants were encouraged to analyse their own data and to discuss the challenges of producing digital scholarly editions. Lev presented a poster on the LAGOOS project, which is available on Zenodo.
