On 25 September 2026, Salome Meyer, the Swiss Ambassador to Austria, visited our institute together with Fabian Leimlehner, Honorary Consul of Switzerland in Tyrol, and was briefed on the Lemnius project, which represents an ideal collaboration between Chur and Innsbruck. Also joining us were senior representatives of our university, Vice-Rector Gregor Weihs, Vice-Rector Dirk Rupnow, and Dean Jürgen Fuchsbauer, who were informed by Delila Jordan, Florian Hitz, and Florian Schaffenrath about the progress of the edition of Lemnius’ Raeteid.

The Ambassador was enthusiastic about the real-life collaboration between two groups (Chur and Innsbruck) that stand opposed to each other in the fictional world of the epic Raeteid. She suggested that, once the project has been completed, the finished book might also be presented in Vienna at the Swiss Embassy.
