At this year’s Long Night of Research (Lange Nacht der Forschung), our SRA organised a special reading of Neo-Latin literature: Neo-Latin texts by early modern woman writers. Johanna Luggin (PI of our SFB’s subproject ‘Latin of Queens, Abbesses, Scientists – Women’s Voices in Neo-Latin’) introduced three woman writers from the 16th, 17th, and 18th century, respectively: Camille de Morel, Henriette Catharina von Gersdorff and Maria Gaetana Agnesi. Our team members and colleagues Alexia Dedieu, Delila Jordan, and Lorena Purcaro read passages from their Latin writings, before our speaker Florian Schaffenrath introduced our SRA as a whole and its other sub-projects.

Thanks to all the interested participants!
